WoW Midnight — Restoration Druid Guide
A complete Restoration Druid healer guide for WoW Midnight: stat priority, talent builds for Keeper of the Grove and Wildstalker, HoT ramp healing, Incarnation: Tree of Life, openers, priority lists, enchants, gems, consumables, and Season 1 BiS gear.
Overview
Restoration Druid is a HoT-based healer built around sustained healing-over-time management, proactive ramp windows, and efficient Clearcast proc spending. The spec delivers high throughput by maintaining Rejuvenation coverage across the group, layering Lifebloom and Efflorescence as passive healing, and ramping into Tranquility or Incarnation: Tree of Life for burst healing requirements. Restoration rewards anticipation — most of its healing is applied before damage rather than reacting to it.
Unique utility: Innervate — restores full mana to a healer. Rebirth (combat rez). Mark of the Wild. Stampeding Roar.
Playstyle note: Restoration's ramp model means you need to read incoming damage patterns, not just react. Starting Rejuvenation coverage too late means your HoTs won't be running when the big hit lands.
Hero Talent Paths
| Path | Focus | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Keeper of the Grove | Treant/Grove Guardian healing support; enhanced Lifebloom and passive regen | Recommended for Raid — treant healing synergizes with the proactive HoT model; strong on sustained multi-target damage |
| Wildstalker | Entangling Vines damage reduction; bleed-linked healing effects; mobility | Recommended for Mythic+ — better utility and burst healing in high-damage dungeon scenarios |
Strengths
- Exceptional sustained HoT throughput — efficient mana-to-healing ratio
- Innervate provides significant healer mana utility
- Strong mobility — most spells are instant-cast
- Excellent group utility (Stampeding Roar, Rebirth, Mark of the Wild)
- Tree of Life provides a powerful burst healing cooldown
Weaknesses
- Reactive healing is weaker than proactive ramp — bad positioning or late HoT application means missed healing windows
- Burst single-target emergency healing is below average; relies on Swiftmend and Regrowth procs
- Higher preparation overhead than throughput healers — requires more game knowledge to extract full value
- Healing cooldown (Tranquility, Tree of Life) timing mistakes are costly
Stat Priority
| Priority | Stat | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Intellect | Always follow item level |
| 2 | Haste | Reduces GCD and HoT tick intervals — more ticks in the same window; dramatically improves ramp speed |
| 3 | Mastery | Mastery: Harmony increases all healing based on active HoTs on the target — scales with coverage |
| 4 | Versatility | Provides flat healing increase and personal damage reduction |
| 5 | Critical Strike | Lower value — HoT crits are useful but do not interact with the ramp model as well as Haste/Mastery |
Diminishing Returns Thresholds
| Stat | DR Threshold |
|---|---|
| Critical Strike | 1,380 rating |
| Haste | 1,320 rating |
| Mastery | 1,380 rating |
| Versatility | 1,620 rating |
Haste and Mastery are both strong for different reasons. Higher Haste means faster ramp and more ticks; higher Mastery means each HoT-covered target receives more healing. Sim your character on Raidbots — the split is meaningful.

Rotation & Cooldowns
Core Abilities Reference
| Ability | Role | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Rejuvenation | Primary HoT | Keep active on 3–5 targets at all times in raid; reapply proactively before damage |
| Lifebloom | Sustained single-target | Maintain on the active tank; provides Clearcast procs for instant Regrowth |
| Regrowth | Clearcast spender / emergency | Instant-cast with Clearcast proc (from Lifebloom); only direct-cast in emergencies |
| Wild Growth | AoE HoT burst | 6-target HoT; use whenever 3+ players need healing |
| Efflorescence | Persistent AoE | Place under melee/tank cluster at fight start; keep active |
| Swiftmend | Emergency instant heal | Consumes a HoT for instant healing; 15-sec CD |
| Flourish | Raid ramp extender | Extends all active HoTs by 8 seconds; powerful combined with Wild Growth ramp |
| Tranquility | Major healing cooldown | 3-min CD; sustained group heal; channel fully |
| Incarnation: Tree of Life | Major cooldown | Enhances all healing spells; makes Rejuvenation free and instant; 3-min CD |
Clearcast procs: Lifebloom has a chance to proc Clearcast on each heal. Clearcast makes your next Regrowth instant and free. Never cast Regrowth without a Clearcast proc except in emergencies — it is mana-inefficient and slow.
HoT pandemic windows: Like Feral bleeds, HoTs can be refreshed within the last 30% of their duration without losing ticks. Refresh Rejuvenation before it expires entirely — don't let it drop, but don't clip it unnecessarily early either.
Raid Healing Approach
Pre-damage ramp (15–20 sec before known damage):
- Efflorescence under melee cluster (if not active)
- Lifebloom on tank
- Rejuvenation on 5–8 most likely targets
- Wild Growth (if 3+ already taking damage or about to)
- Incarnation: Tree of Life (for major burst windows)
During active damage:
- Swiftmend (emergency target below 40%)
- Wild Growth (on cooldown if 3+ targets damaged)
- Regrowth (Clearcast proc — efficient instant heal)
- Rejuvenation (refresh expiring targets)
- Flourish (extend HoTs after Wild Growth ramp)
Low-damage downtime:
- Maintain Lifebloom on tank
- Rejuvenation on 1–2 targets for mana-efficient coverage
- Let Swiftmend recharge
- Innervate (if healer is low on mana — or self-use if primary healer)
Mythic+ Healing Approach
Before a large pull:
- Rejuvenation on tank + expected heavy damage targets
- Efflorescence under the pack
- Wild Growth (after 2+ players dip below 80%)
During the pull:
- Swiftmend (tank emergency)
- Wild Growth (on cooldown)
- Regrowth (Clearcast)
- Rejuvenation (tank + injured party members)
- Wrath/Moonfire (DPS contribution during low-healing windows)
Cooldown Reference
| Cooldown | Notes |
|---|---|
| Incarnation: Tree of Life | 3-min CD. Season 1 raid default due to tier set synergy. Use 10–15 sec before peak damage begins — not during. Tree of Life makes Rejuvenation instant and free, enabling rapid full-group coverage. |
| Tranquility | 3-min CD. Use for sustained group-wide damage phases. Channel fully — moving or canceling wastes the window. |
| Flourish | 1.5-min CD. Use after a Wild Growth ramp to extend all active HoTs. Amplifies the ramp significantly without additional mana cost. |
| Innervate | 3-min CD. Can be cast on yourself or another healer. Self-use in M+. In raid, coordinate with your healing lead — a mana-starved healer receiving Innervate can dramatically improve group sustain. |

Tips & Common Mistakes
- Ramp before the damage, not during — Restoration's healing model is proactive. If you wait for players to take damage before applying HoTs, you've already lost the window. Read boss timers and pre-apply Rejuvenation 10–15 seconds before telegraphed raid damage.
- Lifebloom uptime is Clearcast uptime — Clearcast instant Regrowths are your most efficient reactive healing. Letting Lifebloom fall off tanks means losing your proc engine. Keep it active.
- Don't spam direct Regrowth — casting Regrowth without a Clearcast proc is slow, mana-intensive, and often the wrong choice. HoTs at that same mana cost heal more total over a fight. Regrowth is for emergencies or Clearcast spending only.
- Efflorescence placement matters — place it under the spot where melee/tanks will be, not where they are right now. On bosses that move, repositioning Efflorescence frequently is worth the GCD.
- Incarnation: Tree of Life timing — pop it 10 sec before peak damage so your instant Rejuvenation ramp is already running when the damage arrives. Activating it during the damage is too late to benefit from the full window.
- Flourish after Wild Growth — the combo of Wild Growth → Flourish extends your multi-target HoT burst by 8 seconds. Using Flourish without a Wild Growth ramp running wastes much of its value.
- Verify talent import strings in-game — community reports flagged Restoration Druid import strings as potentially containing errors this patch cycle. Import the string, then manually verify the resulting build matches the intended build before raiding.
